Coign Football

The Coign started playing local friendly matches back in the early 70’s and in 1977 joined the newly formed Southern Area Christian Football League (SACFL) which is now in its 36th year.

The Coign football team over the years had proved to be as successful as any in the SACFL. However following a long period of struggling with player availability for the first team in the 2011/12 season it folded. There is hope that soon it will resurrected so if you are the next budding manager please contact us.
In 2008 the Coign contacted many of the “old players” and now enter a team in the newly formed SACFL Vets Division.

If you are reading this and are interested in playing and becoming a Legend yourself then please contact Jon Bloomfield our team manager. We hold training and fitness sessions at the Wheatsheaf Common on Saturday mornings between 8:30 and 10:00 on non-match days so if you wish to join us for this that’s fine too.
